It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joshua James Childers of Springfield, Kentucky, born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, who passed away on January 5, 2024, at the age of 39, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his grandmother Allie Moran; and his aunt Francis Williams. He is survived by : his parents, Deb Childers and Wolfgang James Childers; his wife Shannon Childers; his son Spencer James Childers; the mother of his child Kristin; his stepdaughter Brooklyn Stanley; his siblings, James Edward (Joann), Patrick, Precious, Jordan and Brittney; his grandchildren, Tayshon and Zion Goodman; his nieces and nephews, Ayden, Gavyn, Rylee, Kenadi, Ava Rose of Luna, CJ and Lukas; his godparents, Kim Honaker and Tom Johnson; and his uncle Roger Moran. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In honor of Josh's heart for helping others, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to any mental health, addiction, or recovery program.
