He was predeceased by: his grandmother Minerva Gibson of David; and his uncle Tim Gibson of Indiana. He is survived by: his parents, Vicki Gibson (Larry) of Staffordsville and Donald Prater (Carol) of Mentone, Indiana.; his grandmother Ruth Shepherd of David, Kentucky; his wife Rebecca Gibson (Sexton) of Staffordsville, Kentucky; his daughters, Candace, Abby and Isabella; and his siblings, Christopher Prater of Leander, Terry Gibson of Staffordsville, Anthony Prater of Mentone, Indiana, Jason Francis of Mentone, Indiana, Nate Meyers of Mentone, Indiana and Hannah Gerard of Warsaw, Indiana. He is also survived by Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews and 1 Granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home - Prestonsburg (234 S Lake Dr, Prestonsburg, KY 41653). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
