He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Batten and Marjorie Hayes Batten; and his brothers, Bradley Batten and Jeff Batten. He is survived by: his wife Tama Stapleton Batten; his sons, Master Sergeant Brandon Batten (Melinda) of St. Albans, WV and Brent Batten of St. Albans, WV; and his cousin Dana Smith. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
