He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hay and Jackie Hay; his sister Carla Hay; and his stepson Jesse Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Thompson Hay; his daughters, Cindy Howland (John Battaglia), Jennifer Russo (Brenton) and Melissa Warren (Mike); his stepson Justin Thompson; his grandchildren, Caden Howland, Jaxon Howland, Ava Russo Colton Warren, Bryce Warren, Harper Thompson, Grayson Thompson and Landry Thompson; his siblings, Larry Hay and Shirley Hay; and his daughter-in-law Holly Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Central Church of God (224 New Coleman Ln, Georgetown, KY 40324). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 3:45 PM to 4:00 PM at the Masonic Cemetery (100 White Oak Rd, Stamping Ground, KY 40379).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Bluegrass Hospice Care. Consider a donation, as requested by the family.
