Alice Bowen Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 12, 2025, at the age of 85, Alice Bowen of Stanford, Kentucky passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Alice Bowen to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid adieu to Alice's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Alice has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Bowen and Mattie Johnson Bowen; and her son James Venson Bowen. She is survived by: her children, Homer Carl Noe of Crab Orchard, KY, Bruce Edward Bowen (Mary) of Stanford, Anita Dossett and Mark Anthony Bowen of McKinney, KY; and her grandchildren, Nicole Mullins, Ashley King, Brooke Shewmaker, Courtney Bowen and Jamie Faye Mayes. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Spurlin Funeral Home (411 W Main St, Stanford, KY 40484). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
