He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawrence Logan and Annie Cathryn Simpson Howard; his son James Logan II; and his siblings, Willie A. Simpson and Iola Simpson.
He is survived by : his wife Anna Pearl Moore Logan of Frankfort, Kentucky; his children, Vincent Logan (Alice) of Richmond, Vandree Logan of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Jennifer C. Pauley (Larry) of Roanoke and Mary Lucinda Logan of Nashville, Tennessee; his stepdaughter Janice Hagan (Thomas) of Midway, Kentucky; his siblings, John O. Routt (Marie) of Stanford, Viola Wilkinson of Stanford and Chester V. Goode of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; his aunt Irene "Aunt Tiny" Gooch (Ernest) of Stanford; and his close friends, Barthenia Brown of Stanford, Sara Givens of Stanford and Al Joseph Logan of Stanford. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
