He was predeceased by: his parents, Effie Bussell Reed and Holton Lewis Reed; his wife Elizabeth Carter of Danville; his son Barry (Patricia); and his granddaughter Leslie.
He is survived by: his daughter Janice Reed; his grandchildren, Laurie Dew (Rob), Christie Reed Marsh and Scott Reed (Daniel) of Athens; his brother Marvin Reed (Marlene); and his sibling's children, Melinda Reed Jones (Tom) and Mark Reed (Melissa) of Lexington. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Buffalo Springs Cemetery (630 KY-78, Stanford, KY 40484).
