She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben L. Bates, Sr. and Bertha Willoughby Bates; her siblings, Ben Bates Jr., Rev. James Bates, Roy "Dickie" Bates and Ada "Pat" Rice; and her grandson Jerry Saylor.
She is survived by: her children, Richard I. Saylor (Nan), Jimmie Lynn Saylor (Shirl), Regina Caudill and Michelle Boyd (Marty). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, one great – great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Clarmont Memorial Gardens (3000 Mt Sterling Rd, Winchester, KY 40391).
