He was predeceased by : his parents, Valentine Brooks and Beatrice Ross Brooks. He is survived by : his wife Carol Gascoyne; his children, Kimberly Brumbach (Greg), Kandis Bowers (Scot), Andrea Shaffer (Tommy Smyth), Claire Schwenz (Robert) and Phillip Gascoyne; his siblings, Bob Brooks and Wendy Drescher; his granddaughters, Olivia Shaffer and Kayla Force (Miguel); and his nieces and nephews, Sarah Tyson, Bobbie Jo Hilgert and Robert Brooks.

In lieu of flower contributions suggested to Hospice East, 407 Shoppers Drive, Winchester, KY 40391 for their wonderful compassion and care.
