He was predeceased by: his parents, William John Hughes and Lela Hughes; his wife Kathy; and his sisters, Penny Smallwood and Sharon Reed.
He is survived by: his children, James Gregory Briscoe (Beth) and Kristy Ann Briscoe (Jimmy Wiggins); his siblings, Jeff Hughes, William Edward Hughes (Lynn) and Beverly Reed; his grandchildren, Marcos Cortes Aguilar, Madelyn Kate Briscoe and Carson James Briscoe; and his close friend Jay Means (Hurst). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
