James Michael Rice Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Michael Rice (Stanton, Kentucky), who passed away on May 18, 2025, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Burnis Claude Rice; his grandparents, Josephine Rice, Irene Sams Lee and Noah Lee; and his nephew Buris Michael Neal.
He is survived by: his mother Bonnie Lee Derickson (Henry); his daughter Cierra Charles (Alex Holbrook); his sister Missy Won (John); his grandchildren, Weston Holbrook and Lillianna Holbrook; his grandfather Junior Rice; his aunts and uncles, Mattie Wasson, Gloyd Lee, Charlotte Sparks, Louise Merion (Derek), Tami Snyder, Eileen Pike, Suzi Allen, Gary Rice, Tony Rice and Billy Rice; his nieces and nephews, Taylor Thomas, Keeley Overbee, Chloe Overbee, Carlie Dehart, Casia Dehart, Lance Stevenson and Luke Barnett; his stepsisters, Jessica Stephenson (Steven) and Misty Dehart; and his close friend Doris Curtis. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wells Funeral Home (777 W College Ave, Stanton, KY 40380). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
