It is with sadness that the passing of Kathy Denise Rice of Stanton, Kentucky is shared. Kathy, born on September 13, 1958, passed away on September 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clell Clinton and Ida Thelma Kennon Charles; her grandparents, Zack, Gracie Charles, Annie and Luther Kennon; her son Shawn Wade Rice; her great grandchild Waylon Thomas Bremer; her brother Zach Anthony Charles; and her brother-in-law Gary Baker.
She is survived by: her children, Shane Christopher Rice (Kristi Meyerholtz) and Amanda Russell (David); her siblings, Clell Charles Jr. (Donna), Ricky Charles (Elissa Kennon), Sammy Shuler, David Charles (Melissa), Matthew Charles (Bridgett), Teddy Charles and Melissa Ann Baker; and her grandchildren, CJ Meadows, Haley Bremer, Corey Hensley, Marti Johnson, Angelina Hensley, Xavier Hensley, Kira Smith, Taylor Rice, Hope Helton, Stokleigh Rice, Austin Rice and Jordan Rice. She is also survived by grandkids; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wells Funeral Home (777 W College Ave, Stanton, KY 40380). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
