He was predeceased by: his parents, Rodney Clayton Crabtree and Ibbie Hughes Crabtree; his son Donnie Gay Crabtree; and his brother Billy Ray Crabtree. He is survived by: his wife Donna Sue Crabtree; his son Danny Crabtree of Stanton; his sister Janice Carol Foster of Stanton; his grandchildren, Brandon Crabtree, Amanda Crowe, Casandra Prewitt and Breana Prewitt; his great grandchildren, Abagail Crowe and Ellie Crabtree; and his close friend Billy King.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hearne Funeral Home (125 W College Ave, Stanton, KY 40380). A masonic service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
A proud member of the Stanton Masonic Lodge #352 since 1963, he also contributed to the community as a member of the National Turkey Foundation and the Northfork Bow Hunters Club.
