He is survived by: his wife Brenda Hicks Porter; his mother Betty Hall Porter of Pikeville, KY; his children, John Martin Porter II (Bailey) of Dayton, OH and Leslie Porter Nelson (Brian) of Lowmansville, KY; his sister Susan Wallen (Ronnie) of Stanville, KY; and his grandchildren, Lauren Nelson, Lindsey Nelson Blair (Mason), Jasper Porter, John Richard Porter II and Teddy Porter.
