He was predeceased by: his parents, John Riley and Nannie Strunk (Coffey); his siblings, Dewitt Strunk, Woodrow Strunk, Grover Strunk, Hobert Strunk, Eugene Strunk, Troy Strunk, Estill Strunk and Sally Watson; his great grandchild Amari Durham; and his close friend Larry Sumner.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Strunk (Coffey) of Stearns, Kentucky; his children, David Strunk (Casey) of Whitley City, Kentucky and Brenda Durham (Vince) of Science Hill, Kentucky; his siblings' children, Savannah and Jesse; his siblings, Johnny Strunk of Whitley City, Kentucky, Karen Strunk (Rocky) of Stearns and Bronical Howard (Cecil) of Whitley City, Kentucky; and his close friends, Mike "Barney" Barnett, Crawford Tucker, Tony Crowley, Homer Sumner and Mark Sumner. He is also survived by several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the McCreary County Funeral Home (48 State Hwy 700, Whitley City, KY 42653). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
