He is survived by : his mother Betty Ruth Merrell of Hopkinsville; his daughter Shannon Halsey of Hazel Green; his sisters, Janice Katherine "Kathy" Cunningham and Joyce Russell of Hopkinsville; his grandson Jarrell; his nephew Greg Abner (Rhonda) of Hopkinsville; his close friend Juanita Wells; and his friends, Keisha Collett, Edna Howard, Jessica Lewis and Fern Mullins.
