It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Hensley of Stopover, Kentucky, who passed away on December 15, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Woodrow Hensley and Geneva Prater Lell; his wife Beatrice Hensley; his stepfather Leman Lell; his brothers, Andrew Hensley, Millard Hensley, Elliott Hensley and Ross Hensley; and his brothers-in-law, Cecil Hurley and Wilson Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Hensley (Canella) of Stopover, KY, Kyle Hensley (Sasha) of Canada, KY and Tammy Compton (Brian) of Beech Creek; his grandchildren, Tate Compton (China), Faith Compton and Eric Blankenship; his great grandchildren, Kyeson Hensley, Millie Compton, Mia Compton, Miles Compton, Marlee Compton and Kingston Hensley; and his siblings-in-law, Wanda Hensley, Danford Hurley, Beulah Hensley, Elaine Davis, Ron Smith (Eleanor), Gary Smith, Benny Smith (Trish) and Kenneth Smith (Lois). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
