He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son Rick; his daughter-in-law Midori; his grandchild Ashley West; his parents, Russell West and Dorothy West (Ross); his wife Wilma Earlene York (York); his children, Johnny David Vinson, Doyle Fay Vinson and Janis Victoria Toleson; his siblings, Alvis West, Alford West, Gaynell Whitaker and Fayrene West; his children, Leroy West, Jr. of Strunk, Ricky Lynn West (Midori), Jackie Monroe Vinson (Jennifer) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Alicia Gail Yancey of Strunk and Judy Diane Goldsmith Yarchuk of Indianapolis, Indiana; his sister Betty Rose Rich of Celina, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Angela Vinson, Sara Vinson, Desiree Bernardo, Daniel Vinson, David Goldsmith, Danny Goldsmith, Nicole Goldsmith, Shawn Goldsmith, Ashley Miya West, Joseph Russell West, Cole Yancey, Chase Yancey and Savannah Vinson. He was also cherished by 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
