He was predeceased by: his parents, Dock Edward "Buster" and Katherine Alberta Wright; and his sister Reba Markham. He is survived by: his wife Michele "Miki" Wright; his children, David Wright (Jennifer), Kristi Ford (Kimbal) and Jonathan Wright (Garah); his grandchildren, Madison Ebelhar (Rocky), Alex Mason (Jake), Emma Wright, Laiken Thorpe (Bobby), John Horlander, Jr. (Emily), Jacob Horlander (April), Julia Horlander, Jefferson Horlander, Blake Ford, Mallory Ford, Cale Wright, Isabelle Wright and Levi Wright; and his sister Ona Sue Gibbens. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whitsell Funeral Home - Sturgis (609 N Main St, Sturgis, KY 42459). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church (1317 N Main St, Sturgis, KY 42459).
