He was predeceased by: his parents, Elzie Mitchell Lawson and Alline C. Miller Lawson; and his brothers, Randal Lawson, Sandy Lawson, Freddie Lawson and Elzie.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca "Becky" Lawson; his children, Kimberly Rose Lawson and James "Jamie" Lawson (Debra Slayton Lawson); his grandchildren, Michelle Rose Lawson, Alex Lawson, Josh Lawson and Kadin Wray; his siblings, Gary Lawson (Mary), Larry Lawson (Doris), Rita Anderson (Randy) and Anita Lawson; and his caregivers, Melissa Slayton and Sandra Bunch. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
