She was predeceased by: her parents, Jody Evans and Ayra Brown Evans; her spouse Fayette Holman "F. H." Smith; and her brothers, Floyd Evans, Edward Evans and Jimmy Evans.
She is survived by: her children, Charles R. "Chuck" Smith (Sandy), David Smith (Connie), Larry Smith of Campbellsville, Randall Smith (Julie), Irene Henderson (Buck), Margaret Carter (C. W.) and Dorothy "Dot" Hatcher of Summersville; and her siblings, Elsie Burba of Hodgenville, Linda Skaggs of Buffalo and Herman Evans of Mt. Sherman. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home (206 S Main St, Greensburg, KY 42743). A burial was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at the Wilson Cemetery.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund or Wilson Cemetery Fund which can both be made at the funeral home.
