He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Jean Luken; and his son Mark Luken. He is survived by: his children, Donald J. Luken (Jeni) and Julie Luken; and his grandchildren, Chris Luken (Krissy), Jill Daniel (Mike), Patrick Luken (Katie) and Aaron Luken. He is also survived by 5 great-granddaughters.

Memorials are suggested to: St. Elizabeth Healthcare Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017 and/or Rosedale Green Nursing Home, 4250 Glenn Ave., Covington (Latonia), KY 41015.
