We announce the death of Barbara Ellen Sharp of Taylorsville, Kentucky, born in Shelbyville, Kentucky, who passed away on August 10, 2026, at the age of 56. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She is survived by: her siblings, Mary Ann Woods (Mike), Richard Sharp, Carolyn Ruble (John), Jaqueline Sharp and Robin Monroe; and her niece Cynthia Ruble Hillyer (Kaleb). She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

Barbie knitted often, making baby hats that she would donate to hospitals.
