It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patrus Newsome of Teaberry, Kentucky, born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, who passed away on June 15, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Newsome and Alvira Hall Newsome; and his siblings, Dennis, Earl, Vernon, Clyde Newsome, Alma Kiser, Selma Mase and Pearl Hughes.

He is survived by: his brother Clennon Newsome (Sandy); his brother-in-law Dean Hamilton (Sharon) of Teaberry, KY; his niece Heather Akers (Adam); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Addison, Addalyn and Allyssa Dana.
