She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Setser and Saddie Setser (Wells); her son Bruce Phillip Carter; and her siblings, Buford, Homer, Rolland, Edgar, Virgil Jr., Anna Bell Perry, Elvie Daniels, Deloris Litton, Geneva Ramey and Judy King.
She is survived by: her husband Bruce Carter; her children, Willie Carter and Andrea Carter; her grandchildren, Willie Bruce Carter Jr. and Lillian Carter; and her sister Lucille Whitt. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
