He is survived by: his wife Kathlene Guffey of Tompkinsville, KY; his children, Kim Goss (Shawn) of Tompkinsville, KY, Debbie Messenger (Emory) of Burkesville, KY, Becky Isenberg of Tompkinsville, KY and Ron Sheffield (Judith) of Denver, CO; his grandchildren, Joshua Emmert (Kelsey), Matthew Emmert (Avery), Erin Emmert (Ezra), Billy Messenger (Abby), Carl Messenger, Eric Isenberg (Samantha), Austin Goss (Heather), Payton Groce (Patrick), Darian Goss, Samuel Sheffield and Joy Sheffield; and his brother Stevie Guffey (Teresa) of Summer Shade, KY.. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Yokley-Trible Funeral Home (510 W 4th St, Tompkinsville, KY 42167). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church (3385 Beech Grove Boles Rd, Tompkinsville, KY 42167). A burial will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 at the Beech Grove Cemetery (3385 Beech Grove Boles Rd, Tompkinsville, KY 42167).
