It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Travis Gordon Thomas of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, who passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Neva Wheat and Erie Jack Thomas; his grandchild Thomas Scott Gentry; and his siblings, Jimmy Thomas, Nadine Turner and June Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Nelda Thomas; his daughters, Trina Davis (Richard) of Hustonville, KY, Terri Williams (Mark) and Traci Gentry (Maxey) of Tompkinsville, KY; and his siblings, Ruth Stinson of Orlando, FL, Joyce Denham (Leon) of Louisville, KY and Ralph Thomas of Tompkinsville, KY.. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Yokley-Trible Funeral Home (510 W 4th St, Tompkinsville, KY 42167). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at the Monroe County Memorial (529 Capp Harlan Rd, Tompkinsville, KY 42167).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Travis' memory may be made to Bethlehem Cemetery or Sid Yokley Cemetery.
