We are sad to announce that on July 13, 2025, at the age of 62, Richard Eugene Layne Sr. of Topmost, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Scott Edward. He is survived by: his wife Annette Greathouse Layne; his children, Scottie Layne (Angie) of Richard, Layne Jr., Gabriel Layne and Beth Herslip (Ross); his brothers, James Edward Layne and Johnny Layne (Tracie); and his grandchildren, Allie (Dustin), Charlie, Bella, Brooklyn, Jaxson and Brantley.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home - Hindman Chapel (125 Parks Rd, Hindman, KY 41822). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
