It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Debra Ann Lay Abner of Totz, Kentucky, who passed away on December 31, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Debra Ann may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Lay and Anna Stewart Lay; her daughter Candice Abner Brackett; and her brother Michael Lay. She is survived by: her husband Randy Abner of Wallins Creek; her son Chris Abner (Amy) of Leatherwood, KY; her sisters, Cheryl Lay (Larry Tippett) of Cumberland and Kathy Fox of Putney, KY; and her pets, Sammie and Annie. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
