He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Hurt and Daisy Arms. He is survived by: his stepson Ty Martin (Holly) of Frankfort; his daughters, Janna "Nikki" Blanton of Paintsville and Chastity Sparks of Lexington; his brother Ed Hurt (Joyce) of Wooster, OH; his close friend Kathy Joyce Daniels; his grandchildren, Kaden, Keaton, Molly, Collin, Nora and Kase; his great grandchildren, Truett, Colton and Annabel; and his grandchildren, Wesley, Kinley and Kanton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home (807 S Mayo Trail, Paintsville, KY 41240). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
