He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Cherry and Iris Cherry; and his sister Carol Y. Dicken. He is survived by: his wife Lisa K. Cherry; his children, Kayli M. Tanner (David), Kristin L. Cherry (Enrique) and Christopher S. Cherry; and his grandchildren, Raelynn, Emery, Charlotte, Madison Tanner and Allen Cherry.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Union Baptist Church (1985 Union School Rd, Union, KY 41091). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
