He was predeceased by: his father Franklin Schneider; and his daughter-in-law Stephanie Schneider. He is survived by: his wife Donna Laws Schneider; his sons, Brian Schneider (Stephanie) and Jeff Schneider; and his grandchildren, Ella, Olivia, Gwendolyn, Ethan and Lily.

Memorial donations can be made in Ron's name to Covington Catholic High School (1600 Dixie Hwy Park Hills, KY 41011-2702) and Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship Fund (237 Ludfort St. Ludlow, KY 41016-1363).
