Rebecca Lois Hay Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Rebecca Lois Hay of Upton, Kentucky. Rebecca, born on August 29, 1940, passed away on September 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Drury and Anna Pearline Drury; her husband George Henry Hay; her granddaughters, Stephanie Murphy and Julie Ann Hay; and her siblings, Joseph, Charles Drury, Anna Pearline Richardson and Catherine Laverne Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Rev. Don Hay (Lisa) of Upton, Joseph Hay (Kim) of Munfordville, Kimberly Huffman (Tim) of Cave City and Robin Lee (Scottie) of Hodgenville; and her sisters-in-law, Minnie Miller (Ronald) and Elizabeth Drury. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Dermitt Funeral Home (306 W Main St, Leitchfield, KY 42754). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Everyone who knew her realized the biggest reason she made quilts was to show her love and affection by donating most of the quilts she made.
