He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Rider and Wilma Rider; and his brother-in-law Jerry Jolly. He is survived by: his son Michael Hardy Rider; his close friend Judy Boyd; his siblings, Al Rider (Susan), Michael "Mike" Rider, Bonnie Jolly and Carol Green (Don); his aunt Martha Lenardon; his extended family, Scott and Erica Boyd; and his grandsons, Tyler Boyd and Easton Boyd. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Lucas Grove Baptist Church.
