He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Ancle and Flora Mae Frashure Wilson; his wife Bonnie D. Wilson; his brother Author Wilson; and his stepson Gary Vanover.
He is survived by: his daughters, Joanna Mattingly (Mike) of Owensboro and Flora Lee Morgan of Owensboro; his stepchildren, Judy Blaase of Charleston, WV, Lonnie Vanover of Montana and Johnnie Ray Vanover of Gun Barrel, Texas; and his siblings, Gloria Troutman of Owensboro and Victor Wilson of Beech Grove. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
