He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Patton and Mary Payne Patton; his brother Robert Patton; and his sister-in-law Sharon Langkam. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, David W. Patton, Jr., James Patton (April) and Jason Patton; his grandchildren, Parker and Carter; his sister Patricia Fitzgerald (Carl); his sister-in-law Martha Patton; his siblings, Jessie Allen (Myra), Tony Duncan, Tracy Millay and Carol Adams; and his aunts and uncles, Dan, Carol Davenport, Paul, Juanita Wilcox and Barbara Woods. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
