He is survived by: his son Shane Douglas Applegate; his siblings, Harold Applegate, Cliff Applegate, Fred Applegate, George Applegate, Allan Ray Applegate, Verna Bond, Margie Polley, Helen Ruth Gottfried and Donna Thoroughman; his daughter Michelle Roe; his grandsons, Christopher Caldwell II and Timothy Caldwell (Bella); his great grandchild Theodore Caldwell; and his siblings, Mary Alice Clark, Nellie Bloomfield and Darrell Bud Applegate. He is also survived by Two brother in-laws, two sister in-laws, and several nieces and nephews.
