She was predeceased by: her parents, Jefferson Boyd and Cora Williamson Boyd; her former husband Johnny Johnson; her husband James "Cookie Man" Abshire; her son Onis Ray "Baldy" Johnson; and her siblings, Jeff Jr., Willie, Ernest, Raney Boyd, Mary Potter, Ruth Hampton, Minnie Boyd and Corean Hall.
She is survived by: her children, Johnny Johnson Jr. of Hickory, NC, Lesa (James "Chico" Gibson) of Varney, KY, Norma Carpenter (Steve) of Morristown, TN, Diane Caines of Kimper, KY and Tabitha Maynard of Sidney, KY; her sisters, Lana Hall (OC) of Burlin Heights, OH, Phyllis Coleman of Zebulon, KY and Mildred Childers of Virgie, KY; and her grandchildren, Bobby, Courtney, Whitley, Matthew, Misty and Sierra. She is also survived by 9 Great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ (19267 Grapevine Rd, Phyllis, KY 41554). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 6:00 PM at the same location.
