In the sacred silence of farewell, Charlene is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas, Jr. and Betty Lou Clifton Romans; her husband Monty Steven Thomas; and her sister Teresa Lou Mulberry. She is survived by: her children, Dwight Thomas "Toby" Rider of Florence, KY, Matthew Romans Rider (Nicky) of Port St and Pamela Kaye "Missie" Sciarra (Keith) of Parrish, FL; and her sister Rita Kaye Henry (Charlie) of Cordova, KY. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Because of the many health issues Charlene experienced over the years, coupled with her selfless desire to advance medical education and research, she made the decision to donate her body to science.
