He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Lawson and Josephine Halsey Lawson; his wife Ella Jean Smith Lawson; and his children, James Terry Lawson and Deine Lawson.
He is survived by: his daughter Freida Perks (John) of Verona; his daughter-in-law Tina Lawson of Verona; and his grandchildren, Amanda Reinhart (Michael), Kelly Wolfinbarger (Luke), Candice Meiner (Marcus), Jacklyn Epperson (Rickie), Terry Lynn Jump (Chris), Kerry Monroe (Matt) and Kaitlin Lawson (Ethan). He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home (14635 Walton-Verona Rd, Verona, KY 41092). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
