He was predeceased by: his stepmother Beth Rodgers; and his niece Antionette Martin. He is survived by: his parents, Teddy Phillips of Centralia, Illinois and Tish Phillips (Dempsey) of Centralia, Illinois; his daughters, Lexie Phillips of Patoka and Zoe Phillips (Trey Halfhill) of Nancy, Kentucky; his stepson Trey Lowery; his grandchildren, Eleanor Wood, Elizabeth Wood and Malakai Halfhill; his sister Sheila Phillips of Centralia, Illinois; and the mothers of children, Jennifer Phillips of Patoka and Erica Bates of Nancy, Kentucky. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorials may be made in his honor to his daughters, Alexis and Zoe Phillips to assist with expenses.
