She was predeceased by: her parents, John Allen Slater and Lannie Ann Slater; her cousin Melva Sweet; her husband Robert Ray Counts; her daughter Lisa Counts Inboden; and her brothers, Gary Slater and Glen Franklin Slater.

She is survived by: her son Robert Counts (Elizabeth Counts); her grandchildren, Diana Crump (Chase Crump), Sydney Schweitzer, Richard Hamilton, Rebecca Kramer (Andrew Kramer) and Ruby Hamilton; her great grandchild Kelsey Kramer; her sister Patsy Ann Bell; and her cousin Elaine Huskins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Dementia Society of America.
