She was predeceased by: her parents, John Slugantz and Laura Hamm Slugantz; her son James "Sam" Edward Sutherland; and her siblings, Joe Slugantz, Johnny Slugatz, Tommy Slugantz, Kenneth Slugantz, Donald Slugantz, Betsy Montgomery, Myrtle Carl, Nellie Holland, Mary Britton, Lana Drury, Jeanette Littrell, Kitty Carl, Lilly Phillips, Florence Rice, Lora Bell Rice and Emily Mildred Slugantz.
She is survived by: her husband James Sutherland of Versailles; her son Larry Sutherland (Connie); her sister Clara Lewis; her grandchildren, Brian Sutherland, Jamie Sutherland (Shawn), Angela Sutherland, Aaron Sutherland (Jessica), Whitley Sutherland Burkhardt (Brady) and Leslie Maynard; and her great grandchildren, Sidney Lucas (Landon), Zachary Sutherland, Hunter Sutherland, Sam Sutherland, Hallee Sutherland, Autumn Sutherland, Brantley Burkhardt, Levi Burkhardt and Peyton Burkhardt.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home (161 Broadway St, Versailles, KY 40383). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens (3250 Versailles Rd, Frankfort, KY 40601).
