He was predeceased by: his parents, George Overstreet Spoonamore Jr. and Susan Fisher Woods Spoonamore; his brother George Overstreet "George O" Spoonamore III; his nephew George Overstreet "Sonny" Spoonamore IV; Lynn Spoonamore Uram.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria Jean Dickey Spoonamore of Versailles, KY; his daughter Julie Spoonamore of Lexington; his nieces, Susan Spoonamore of Frankfort, KY and Gayle Spoonamore of Nashville, TN; his son-in-law Tom Uram of Eighty-Four, PA; and the mother of his children Lynda Parrott Spoonamore of Lexington, KY..
