With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jane Garrett Pryor of Versailles, Kentucky, born in Columbus, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Jane Garrett left this world on May 29, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Tandy Pryor; and her parents, James Douglas Garrett and Helen Hymers Garrett. She is survived by: her children, John Melton Pryor (Pat) and Eleanor Tandy Pryor; her grandchildren, Kathryn Jane Volpenhein, James Tandy Volpenhein and John Hayes Volpenhein (Sydney); her great grandchildren, Spencer Jane Volpenhein and Teagan Louise Volpenhein; her sister Margaret Garrett Shropshire; and her niece Laura Shropshire. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pisgah Presbyterian Church (710 Pisgah Pike, Versailles, KY 40383).
Memorials may be made to the Pisgah Scholarship Fund or the Woodford County Library.
