He was predeceased by : his parents, James Dorsey and Lela; his siblings, Cecil, Billy and Jane; and his sister-in-law Susan.

He is survived by : his children, Jerry Wayne (Rosy), Brian and Robin; his granddaughters, Samantha (Wyatt), Shelby (Francisco), Amaya and Leanne; his great grandchildren, Corbin and Francis; and his siblings, Sonny (Eileen), Shirley (Betty Lou), Bobby (Carol) and Betty. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
