It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Micah Prentice Garr (Versailles, Kentucky), who passed away on August 15, 2025, at the age of 46, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Micah may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his father Monroe Garr, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Janis Garrett Carter (Nathaniel); his children, Micah Garr of Lexington, Jordan Garr of Lexington, Jaron Garr of Lexington, Tariq Garr of Lexington, Darrius Garr of Lexington and Kimora Garr of Lexington; and also Darrick Garr (Andreala).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (233 S Main St, Versailles, KY 40383). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
