She was predeceased by: her parents, George Matthews and Josephine Barnes Matthews Johnson (Lester); her husband John W. McClain; her brother James Douglas Matthews; her granddaughter Tara Beth McClain; her great grandchild Ozzy Coots; and her son-in-law Gary Coffey.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Wesley McClain (Gloria Jean) of Versailles, Denise Gail Hatton (Walker) of Indiana, Dena Carol Coffey (Gary) of Versailles, Karen Jean Boens (Glenn) of Lexington, Sandra Lynn Fathergill (Wade) of Lancaster and Beverly Ann Walling (John) of Versailles; her sisters-in-law, Ethelwyn Matthews and Alene McClain; her grandchildren, Mac Hatton (Carrie), Amy Coots, Matt Coffey, Steve McClain, Neal Fathergill (Danielle), Tracie Fathergill, Nick Walling (Allie) and Kris Walling (Makenzi); and her cousin Ann Matthews Gaunce. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Versailles Baptist Church.
