She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Reese Saunders; her parents, Roy Hedger and Nettie Hedger; and her brothers, Roy Jr. and Charles Hedger.
She is survived by: her sister Ruth Ann Benton (Stanley); her daughters, Lou Ann Allen (Henry) and Patty Perry (late George); her grandchildren, Paul Allen (Michelle), Chris Allen (Sara), Rebecca Shryock (Jeremy), Patrick Perry (Kaitlyn) and Emily Benedict (Michael); her great grandchildren, Reese, Gage Allen, Ann Lawrence, Addison Allen, Jackson, Drew, Colt Shryock, Emilia Perry of Thomas, J. W. and Annie Benedict; and her great great grandchild Leighton Lane Shryock. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
