He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawrence Southerland and Sydney Wilson Southerland; and his siblings, Lucille Luttrell, Henry Southerland and William Southerland.
He is survived by : his brother Elzie Southerland (Ida). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
